Here’s the first unit for Sindy’s modular home. It took me longer than expected to fit the walls together. One piece of greyboard was scrapped in the process. This week I will glaze the wooden frame at the front of the box. I have two sheets of perspex to make a sliding door. They are ready and waiting to go in but I still need to decorate and would rather insert the perspex afterwards.
So far I like the sheen of the foamcore on the floor. It looks like laminate to me and I may leave that alone rather than tile it, which was my original intention.

Oh wow! I have never heard of a Deluxe Reading kitchen before but I absolutely love it – it’s so retro! It looks nicely made too and I LOVE your plans for lots of different box-rooms. I have the old Sindy Superhome which is great box room proportions and I’ve also now got my own set of four plywood box rooms which I regularly change for different photoshoots etc. I really wish I could have a whole person sized room full of 1/6 box rooms so I could have lots of permanent sets! That would be the best! Really enjoying your blog.
